'Place' is a different album from other albums.
Oxtail and my relationship started in 2015. Four albums have been released from Oxtail so far. I think that listeners can understand the evolution of my sounds via those albums. Oxtail has supported my activities for so many years, I appreciate Mike Nigro.

I made those tracks in Summer to Winter 2023.
My equipment is getting simpler year after year. The sound of the tracks was made by some software synthesizers, samples and nature sounds recorded by myself.
My interest is what I make rather than what I use. I focus on how to make limited material and sounds.

Anyway, I focused on making listeners feel relaxed.
I hope that listeners feel like this music is their place.

In 2024, both Rhucle and Oxtail Recordings celebrate our 10th anniversaries, and we've been working together nearly as long. I believe we share a commitment to artistic process and the evolution of work over time, and the duration of our relationship has allowed us to see each other move through various stages of our practices, and grow together.

Yuta has always been kind, gracious, and more than generous. I hold up our relationship as a prime example of the power of underground, independent, DIY music, and I tell people about it all the time: I have a friend who lives on the other side of the world, that I’ve shared gigs and meals with in NYC and Tokyo, that I never would’ve met any other way, because I made a Bandcamp page and he sent me an email.
